In my ideal world, a lot of things are different.For example, women’s pants sizes make sense and not clearing all the snow off the roof of your car is a capital offense. The discrepancies between reality and Kristenworld are never more apparent, though, than around Academy Awards time. Not only because I can neither predict the winners nor agree with the choices, but also because the Oscars are getting less and less about celebrating film and more about marketing, celebrity and the marketing of celebrity.
